Sonam Dekyi's European Tour to Free or See Her Son

A provisional itinerary for Sonam Dekyi's European tour has been announced by the Free Tibet Campaign-UK, which is sponsoring the tour in association with the International Campaign for Tibet and the Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy. Sonam Dekyi will be accompanied by her translator, Tsering Norzom, who is a member of Parliament of the Tibetan Government in Exile. Locally, Ms. Dekyi will be hosted by community Tibet support groups. If you are interested in being involved in the tour or would like further information about events, please contact the Free Tibet Campaign-UK or the organizations listed below. Please note that, due to Sonam Dekyi's health, dates or places may be changed to accomodate her, and therefore all details described below are subject to changes and cancellations. The schedule below will be updated as information becomes available.

Along with Sonam Dekyi, participants will include speakers from Tibet, India and Nepal representing several organizations. A young Tibetan now living in exile will bear witness to current conditions inside occupied Tibet. The event will also feature cartoons, roundtable discussions, debates, buffet, and information stands. Admission is free, but please bring your old eyeglasses, even broken ones, to be reconditioned.

7:00 pm, Dinner Spectacular
Bengali banquet followed by a screening of the new, unedited version of "La Transhimalayenne." Producers A. Poussin and S. Tesson will speak and answer questions. Requested admission of 120 F/person (no charge for children under 10) will benefit children of southern Asia.
